Grilled Shrimp with Crabmeat Risotto

 

It's time to kick off Tavern's new spring menu with a one-of-a-kind dish: Colossal prawns 4-6 per lb. count, marinated with

olive oil,lemon juice, white wine, fresh thyme and sage leaves. These big juicy dressed-up prawns are char grilled and nestled over a creamy risotto highlighted with crabmeat and and chopped fresh clams with a spritz of truffle oil. The dish is finished with olive oil Lobster Sauce with a hit of acidity.Perfectly paired with Grgich Hill Chardonnay from Napa Valley.

Tucked intimately into the Enola hillside, and almost hidden from view, this jewel of a restaurant is just 10 minutes across the river from Pennsylvania's Capitol Complex.      Our eclectic menu features top quality meats, fresh - and sometimes rare - seafood delivered fresh daily and skillfully-prepared. Our highly trained dining room and kitchen staffs work together to provide you with refined personal service and attention delivering a flawless dining experience .

     In addition to our regular menu the Tavern offers a Blackboard Specials Menu.  Various item are hand-picked daily by our Executive Chef. A "Special" may be a hard-to-find delicacy which our suppliers do not normally offer;   Or it may be an exotic seafood or fish from halfway around the world; or a special cut of prime grade meat prepared in an uncommon way and/or with a delightful sauce using rare ingredients. The Blackboard Specials Menu offers appetizers, soups, entrées, side dishes and desserts.
