our humble beginnings as a working man's
tavern with a small dining area to the rear of
a bar, to our expanded and elegantly renovated
establishment, Tavern on the Hill has come quite
a long way in a little less than two decades
to take it's position among the finest restaurants
in Central Pennsylvania with one of the top eight
wine cellar in the state.
Both
our chef-proprietor, Laki Daskalakis, and our
Sommelier, Klaus Peter Heim, have come to us
from the vineyards and first class restaurants
of Europe and America. Through their expertise,
Tavern guests enjoy sumptious culinary
delights with the perfect wine complement.
Our
kitchen staff is made up of seasoned professionals
who consistently do whatever is necessary to
prepare your carefully architected dishes
to your personal specifications and often above
and beyond your expectations. Our
Maître
d' and highly trained Wait Staff pays close attention
to the small details that make dining an experience
